Papers relating to the photographer David Moore's 1969 publication 'In the making'. The collection comprises 35 black and white photographs taken by Moore of artists and other subjects relating to the Australian arts scene in the late 1960s, including visual arts. Subjects include Fred Williams, Robert Klippel, Russell Drysdale, Leonard French, Rudy Komon, George Ogilvie, Norma Redpath and Hal Porter.

David Moore (1927-2003) began his career at the studio of renowned photographer Max Dupain, where his photographic work included industrial subjects, advertising set-ups, and concert artistes. In 1951 David Moore left for London, and was the first Australian photo-journalist to work consistently for the international picture magazines during the 1950s.
